Why are people complaining about the Mako/Korra relationship being rushed?

They had a whole season of development. It wasn’t just one episode and boom, they are together. It started from episode 2, and continued throughout the story. Mako and Asami might have been together, but that just developed Korra and Mako’s feelings for each other even more so.

If you are comparing it to Aang and Katara, then you are doing it wrong. They both didn’t share the same feeling for each from the start. Aang always had a crush on Katara, but Katara saw him as a brother type person. It wasn’t until season 2 that Katara feelings started evolving, and became fully realized during season 3.

Honestly though, I feel like the ones are complaing about it are from other ‘ships.’ To that I say, your unrealistic expectations were never going to happen. It was set up as Mako/Korra from the start. Anything else, like I said, was just used as a way to help both characters develop their feelings.

PS: I’m not Makorra, or Borra, or whatever. I just take the story as it is. :D
